A Cushtie Gift

June 30th, 2009 by Redsave

It was Del Boy’s favourite word in Only Fools and Horses, but Cushtie is also the name for a great range of soft ‘n’ squishy cushions that are almost unbelievably comfortable. Ideal for living rooms and bedrooms, the Cushtie’s at Redsave come in a wide range of shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common: they’re all indescribably luxurious.

Each Cushtie has a flexible outer skin that can be stretched and twisted without breaking, and is filled with polystyrene micro-granules that make every Cushtie really soft and comfortable. They’re brilliant for your sofa and bed.

Heart Radio Cushtie – This cute and romantic Cushtie has a soft, furry cover and the usual Cushtie squishiness, but it also features a built-in AM radio, with the buttons embedded in the front of the cushion.

Original Cushtie – The original and still the best, the basic Cushtie is just a tube shape, but it makes a fantastic cushion for your sofa.

Furry Tiger Cushtie – Similar to the Original Cushtie in size and shape, but the Furry Tiger has kitsch appeal with its black and white stripes and furry ends.

Cushtie Square – This is one of our favourite Cushtie’s. It’s a square neck pillow that is ideal for travel so you can enjoy Cushtie comfort wherever you go.

The Simpsons HomerSapien

June 30th, 2009 by Redsave

The RoboSapien caused a stir when it was first released a few years ago. For a relatively affordable toy it packed a lot of technology and was one of the most advanced toy robots ever seen.

The HomerSapien is a special Simpson’s themed version of the RoboSapien that not only looks like the lovable Homer Simpson, but behaves like him too. It’s great fun and the most impressive Simpsons toy we’ve ever seen.

The remote control that comes with HomerSapien is much the same as the RoboSapien’s – it’s large and really imposing with lots of buttons. The reason for all these controls is that as well as looking exciting, HomerSapien has a massive range of movement and options.

His arms are fully functioning and end in gripping hands that can be used to pick up light items. His legs allow Homer to walk and turn easily and quite fast. The package even includes a Krusty Burger cup that Homer can pick up, kick or throw. All these actions can be done via the remote control.

You can also press some buttons to make HomerSapien fart, snore and say some famous Simpson’s catchphrases, and he has over 60 pre-programmed functions such as dancing that are activated at the press of a button, or you can even programme HomerSapien yourself!

AQ Wireless Speakers

June 22nd, 2009 by Redsave

The worst part about setting up a sound system at home is dealing with the miles of cable that is inevitably left strewn about your house. You end up trying to tuck it under the carpet or tacking it to the ceiling but it rarely looks very neat.
An alternative solution is the stylish AQ Wireless Speakers.

As the name implies these speakers don’t use any wires, instead sending your music over the air via radio waves. Using the AQ Wireless Speakers you can enjoy sound from your radio, stereo, TV, games console or anything else with an audio output without leaving cables strewn about the place.

The AQ Wireless Speakers include everything you need. Plug the transmission base into your TV or any other audio source then slot some batteries into the speakers and you’re ready to go. The Wireless Speakers can transmit up to 100m and there’s no limit on the number of speakers you can use, so you can enjoy audio wherever you are in the home.

Mi Jam Mixing Deck

June 22nd, 2009 by Redsave

If you’ve been to a wedding in the last few years you may have noticed a disturbing new trend. There was a time when the wedding disco meant getting a hospital radio DJ to lug over his cheesy lights, record decks and collection of terrible 80s pop to while away the evening while your uncle attempted to drunkenly dance with and grope any unfortunate female that came too close.

But now things have changed, the uncle is still there but the DJ has been replaced by a guy with an iPod and a laptop. After all, why bother with all the records when you could just as easily load it all onto your MP3 player?

Well, lazy DJs, we have something for you – the Mi Jam Mixing Deck. This clever high-tech device hooks up to digital music players like the iPod and allows you to fake having a real record player. The Mi Jam’s twin scratching discs interface with the music and let you mix and scratch your way through the songs as though you were playing LPs.

It’s got loads of built in effects and the Mi Jam can even output to a computer so you can record your beats and release them online.

EZ Music Showcase iPod Case

June 22nd, 2009 by Redsave

The iPod is one of our favourite gadgets, it goes everywhere we go, carrying loads of music and video for keeping us entertained. But the iPod has one fatal flaw – it’s a little too fragile. iPods aren’t cheap and they can get scratched and smashed all too easily. One fall or splash of water and your gizmo has had it.

But the EZ Music Showcase can help keep your iPod clean and undamaged while still letting you enjoy your music when you’re outside. It’s a transparent iPod case with built-in speakers that is designed to let you enjoy your iPod no matter where you are.

Not only does the tough outer casing of the Showcase protect from falls and scratches, but it’s actually waterproof too so you don’t need to worry about taking it to the beach. It will even float on water!

Just slot the iPod into the padded cradle in the centre of the Showcase and then connect it to the speakers with the standard 3.5mm connector. You can easily control the iPod without taking it from the case thanks to a handy rubber membrane.

Frames2U Construction Frames

June 19th, 2009 by Redsave

Not everybody has bought a digital photo frame to show off their pictures, some of us still like the traditional frame showing one printed photo at a time. Not only are they cheaper but they don’t require a computer, memory cards or any technical knowledge.

You can also get some funky stylish designs like this Construction Frame. It looks like a giant Lego block but in the front is a slot for a photo. The frames are available in a variety of colours so you can match it to your home, and if you open it up there’s space inside for other photos.

The clever thing about the Construction Frame though is that the block design isn’t just for show – you can slot multiple frames together to create a coloured brick wall of photos!

As well as these larger frames, Redsave also sells some mini blocks in packs of three, these can also be connected to the Construction Frame so you can vary the photo sizes and block design.

These great Construction Frames are perfect for kids and families and a unique way to create a cool photo display.

RC Metal Detector Car

June 19th, 2009 by Redsave

Radio control vehicles have been a favourite toy for as long as we can remember, popular with all ages and sexes, even the girliest of girls will admit to doing a few laps with an RC race car.

There have been all sorts of innovations and inventions with RC toys, like some with powerful petrol engines or cars that can actually climb up walls, but this is the strangest one yet: this remote control car has a built-in metal detector.

Go to a beach and you’ll no doubt spot the legions of men walking around with their metal detectors hoping to find buried treasure, or more often pocket change and tin cans. But these guys are missing a trick, with the RC Metal Detector Car they could be sat down while the car does the hard work for them.

All you need to power this car are a few batteries. Just pop them inside and then you’re ready to go. Take the Metal Detector Car down the park or the beach and use the radio control up to 60 feet away to direct the car. When it drives over metal the car beeps to alert you!

It has big fat wheels so you can off-road easily, and is a fun toy anyway even if you don’t use it to search for lost jewellery in the sand.
